The Challenge

As one of the world’s biggest e-commerce platforms, Tmall needed an identity element that could humanise the brand and connect with millions of shoppers. The name itself — Tian Mao, or “Heavenly Cat” — offered a clue. The challenge: to create a visual identity that would feel iconic, loveable and versatile enough to stretch from airports and billboards to mobile screens.
